Picture this: the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

For a couple of years I've been meaning to re-read the entirety of Harry Potter. Now, I'm finally going to start my re-read on October 6, with the release of the newly illustrated edition of book 1!

Jim Kay has created STUNNING artwork to accompany the brilliant text from J.K. Rowling. We've been issuing sneak peeks of the artwork over the past year, but this week, Buzzfeed released even more, including a never-before-seen image of Harry himself. *gapes*

J.K. Rowling loved it, too. She says:
