Oracle Order to Cash (OTC) Cloud Functional Lead

Scholastic Inc. is seeking motivated and experienced Oracle OTC Cloud Fusion Functional Lead. You should be passionate about the cloud technology and want to be a part of our team and work with business savvy leads to provide exceptional services, helping them gain the optimum benefit from their Oracle OTC (Order to Cash) Cloud Fusion software and QTC (Quote to Cash). 

This position requires 50% travel with projects executed both remotely, and on-site at Scholastic locations. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide Oracle OTC Cloud Fusion functional services by acting as subject matter expert and leading clients through the entire cloud application services implementation life-cycle for Oracle OTC Cloud Fusion projects. 
  • Identify business requirements and map them to the Oracle OTC Cloud Fusion functionality 
  • Conduct Functional Design Workshops for Oracle OTC Cloud Fusion projects 
  • Identify functionality gaps in On-Premise Oracle EBS OTC & Other Order Management business systems and provide alternative business processes & functionality within Oracle OTC Cloud Fusion.

Account Executive - Education Sales (Northern California)

Our Education Division is seeking an energetic account executive with educational publishing experience who can partner with schools and communities to extend literacy. Along with classroom books and instructional materials, we provide workshops, extensive teaching resources, and we work with communities and long-standing literacy partners to ensure that students receive learning support 24/7 from birth to adulthood.

Principal Security Engineer, Information Security

The Principal Security Engineer will work as a part of the Scholastic Security organization. They will report to the Security Architect, but will work closely with the CISO, and the Compliance Lead to proactively identify and resolve security issues. While this person will be responsible for assisting across a variety of security areas, their primary responsibility will be to improve upon the current on-premise and cloud based Continuous Monitoring Solution. The Continuous Monitoring solution will consist of both vulnerability scanning and proactively identifying indicators of a breach or other suspicious behavior. It is expected that this role consist of the following key activities: continuous monitoring (50%), protective security (helping other teams create secure solutions) (30%), and ad-hoc security tasks (20%). 

Responsibilities include:

  • Review Continuous Monitoring environment and determine if devices are compliant with security configurations, identify breach indicators and proactively identify insecure device configurations
  • Review various monitoring devices to evaluate the security of the environment  
  • Modify the monitoring controls (endpoint logs, network logs, server logs, application logs, access logs, etc.), analysis tools (SIEM, IDS / IPS, CloudWatch, etc.) as necessary to achieve insight into the environment 
  • Investigate suspicious activity

Executive Editor, Junior Scholastic

Inspire the next generation of young citizens and change makers as the editor of Junior Scholastic, a beloved civics, history, current events and social studies magazine and digital resource for young people. 

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and experienced editorial leader for this flagship middle school social studies magazine, someone who combines proven editing and journalistic storytelling abilities with passion for education. 

Responsibilities:

The executive editor of Junior Scholastic will lead all aspects of the creation of the print and digital resource, working closely with the art director, production editor, and a small team of editors and writers and digital producers. In addition to guiding the editorial and creative team, the editor is the product ambassador to the middle school teaching community, the world of social studies and civics, and within Scholastic.

Marketing Operations Assistant

This position is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to children's book marketing. The Marketing Operations Assistant will report directly to the Director of Marketing Operations in the Trade Marketing Department. Position requires organization, initiative, efficiency, ability to manage multiple projects and attention to detail. It is an excellent growth opportunity.

Senior Publicist

In addition to joining the world’s largest children’s book publisher and distributor, this is an opportunity for a publicist to take the next step in their career and demonstrate creativity. The Senior Publicist will work with both children’s and young adult book authors/illustrators with responsibility for implementing innovative publicity plans and campaigns for select titles and authors.  

Responsibilities include:

The Senior Publicist will be expected to work with authors, create comprehensive tour schedules, schedule travel and events, arrange media interviews, write press materials and pitch letters, research media contacts, fulfill review copy requests. Must have experience pitching national and local broadcast, print, and online media.
