5-word book reviews

It's the middle of summer, which is prime reading season (at least for me). I asked the other OOMers what they've read recently and if they could review the book in five words or less, because really, your reading time is best spent reading actual books rather than reviews of said books. Here's what they said!

  • Inhuman by Kat Falls: Pandemic, quest, love triangle – absorbing. (Deimosa)
  • I Am Princess X by Cherie Priest: Twenty-first century princess story. Awesome. (Julia)
  • Dumplin by Julie Murphy: Dolly Parton. Body image. Perfection. (Jeremy)
  • Inferno by Dan Brown: Professor on a mission. Cryptic. (Naomi)
  • Blood, Bones and Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton: Accidental chef braves big city. (Megan)
  • 11/22/63 by Stephen King: Time travel. Change history. Thought-provoking! (Brittany)
  • The Magician King by Lev Grossman: Yay, magic! Ode to Narnia. (Mike)
  • Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan: Girl with Two Identities. Thrilling. (me!)
  • George by Alex Gino: A kid discovering things. Heartwarming. (also me!)
