Monday blues bringing you down? May I direct your attention to a board on Pinterest that is gauranteed to lift your mood. "Quotes for the Classroom" was created by our teacher team here at Scholastic, and it's full of some incredible quotes from famous writers, prominent figures, former presidents, former presidents' brilliant wives, activists, and of course, Anonymous.
Note: I am not a teacher nor do I have a classroom which to hang things in, but I do have a desk and a wall and you bet I've printed a few of these to act as fancy dual-purpose wallpaper (it looks nice and it inspires me).
Here are five of my favorite from the batch:
- "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." - Eleanor Roosevelt
- “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela
- "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." -Pablo Picasso
- "Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom." - George Washington Carver
- "The important thing is not to stop questioning." - Albert Einstein
Take a look and share with your teacher friends (or non teacher friends!) I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
