On February 1, LitWorld and Scholastic teamed up to host World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) – an advocacy day that calls attention to the importance of reading aloud and sharing stories. This year we celebrated WRAD alongside Harry Potter Book Night, a time when fans around the world celebrate J.K. Rowling's beloved book series, making it the biggest and most magical event to date!
People all over the world joined in to celebrate the day and shared special read aloud moments on social media using #WorldReadAloudDay and #HarryPotterBookNight. Here are just some of our favorite moments:
We hosted a Facebook Live with Pam Allyn, Founder of LitWorld, where she shared a few of her top read aloud tips and read from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – which can be found here.
