In just two days, something incredible is happening: iconic authors/illustrators Dav Pilkey (he of Captain Underpants fame) and Jeff Kinney (he of Diary of a Wimpy Kid fame) will be on stage together for a one-of-a-kind event: a Story Smashup!
On Wednesday, January 15 at 1pm ET, Pilkey and Kinney will be showing you how to write a story—exploring character, setting, plot, action, and more. They'll work together to create an original story (with art!) based on suggestions from an audience of kids. It'll be hilarious. (Seriously. Viewers will also watch Kinney and Pilkey’s attempts to draw each other’s characters and to see if they can draw their own characters, Greg Heffley and Captain Underpants, blindfolded!)
It's the writing event of the year. And even though it's only January, we feel confident saying that!
