What to read this fall: Graphic Novels! (And a giveaway!)

Picture Books and Middle Grade, move over. This week, we are featuring the Graphic Novels section of the Scholastic Fall 2016 Online Preview!

In his introduction to the Graphic Novels section, Scholastic Ambassador for School Libraries John Schumacher (“Mr. Schu”) says:

Time and time again, I have seen dormant readers turn into avid readers because of graphic novels…

Graphic Novels have a unique ability to provide enthusiasm for reading, especially for reluctant readers, and assist with reading development for those struggling with language acquisition. The rich narrative structures and plots can prove equally motivational for advanced readers. YWe can even help you find ways to use Graphic Novels with children and teens!

Our Fall 2016 Graphic Novels are new original stories from returning favorites – Dav Pilkey, creator of the NYT bestselling Captain Underpants series, and Raina Telgemeier, NYT bestselling author and illustrator of Smile, Drama and Sisters!
