The school year may be coming to a close, but the Scholastic News Kid Reporters are still getting the scoop on all kinds of great stories! Here's a look at what they have been up to:
Last week, Kid Reporter Jeremy Hsiao covered the opening of the wildly popular Jurassic World movie. He had the chance to interview one of the film's young stars about what it was like to "work" with dinosaurs! He also spoke with world-famous paleontologist Jack Horner, who helped to develop the computer-generated dinos.
Kid Reporter Abigail Wilson-Kageni found herself in the White House recently to cover an event for the "Let's Move" initiative. First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed students to Washington D.C. to enjoy a meal prepared with ingredients straight out of the White House garden!
Finally, Kid Reporter Madison Medina got a look at the National Dance Institute's classes for New York City public school kids. She chatted with choreographer Jacques d'Amboise about what kids can learn from studying dance.
