Today is the last day of the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge!

With students around the country going back to school, not only is summer coming to a close... but so is the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge!

Students participating in the Challenge have until midnight (12pmEST) this evening (Friday, September 7, 2018) to log any summer reading minutes. And remember—it’s still Minute Mania Month, so kids can not only log new reading minutes, but they can also go all the way back to week 1 of the Challenge to log any previous minutes they had from the earlier in the summer.

With only hours to go until Challenge closes, kids have logged over 128 million summer reading minutes! By logging the rest of their minutes today, students can help their school, library or community partner organization earn special recognition for the most minutes read! Top sites will be listed in the 2019 Scholastic Book of World Records coming out this fall, and on the website on September 26!

Encourage participating students head over to scholastic.com/summer today... because every minute counts!

Educators, Libraries and Community Leaders: Be sure to download your student minute reports for your records between September 8 and October 31!
