Summer may be coming to an end but I’m always ready for vacation! My favorite kind of vacations are ones where I set off for a foreign destination so I can experience a new culture, cuisine, and even try to pick up a new language.
Thus, dreaming of my next trip (which I haven’t planned yet), I looked through some of the older editions of foreign language magazines by Scholastic Classroom Magazines. Available in Spanish, German, and French, they have been published in collaboration with Mary Glasgow Magazines since the 60s. The issues below are from the 90s, full of fun articles about popstars and footballers from 20 years ago.
Entonces, let’s begin:
Ahora, Vol. 5 No. 1, September/October 1998
Allons-y!, Vol. 5 No. 1, September/October 1998
Bonjour, Vol. 42 No. 1, September/October 1998
Ça Va?, Vol. 33 No. 1, September/October 1998
¿Qué Tal?, Vol. 32 No. 1, September/October 1998
Special thanks to Gina Asprocolas and the Scholastic librarians for their help with this series!
