Can you believe we are already seven weeks into the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge?! Considering kids have been diligently logging summer reading minutes since May, it's hard to believe the official start of summer was just last week!
Let's take a look at some week 7 highlights.
- As of today at 4:38pm ET, kids have logged 64,546,337 reading minutes!
- Last Wednesday was officially the first day of summer! We celebrated with a blog post right here on OOM, which we shared widely on social media.
- Our Parents team posted this great “Summer Reading Challenge 101” top 10 list for parents new to the Challenge!
- The Judy Newman at Scholastic blog has a great post all about summer reading which promotes Kids & Family Reading Report data, as well as the Challenge!
- July begins this Saturday, which means the Summer Reading Road Trip RVs are hitting the road again! There have been some great tweets leading up to these early July events; check some out below! You can check upcoming tour dates and see if the RVs are headed near you at summerroadtrip.scholastic.com.
