In Our Feeds: Reading at the dinner table like Naomi Watts

Every Friday, we share a handful of links that we found funny, provocative or just plain cool. We call it In Our Feeds. Have a great weekend!

As a kid I was occasionally allowed to read at the dining room table, so I was glad to see Naomi Watts share an Instagram of her kids doing the same thing...with a Harry Potter book, no less!

That's just the first of many news items that made me laugh this week. For example: as a fan of Pride and Prejudice, I giggled when I saw that the white shirt made famous by Colin Firth (playing Mr. Darcy) is now coming to America!

Okay, setting aside actors for the rest of this blog post: here's a great list of nonfiction books by women, sorted by the best time to read them. (And lest you think I'm talking about times of day, it's more situational -- ie, when you're in a rut, you should read Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes, which I just finished and can 100% attest to!)

If you're a reader (and of course you are, you're here) you're probably at least somewhat interested in words and language. So check out this piece about how nouns become verbs. Fascinating!

Finally, if you're on Twitter, go ahead and invite your favorite author to your book club. You never know...she just might show up.

Have a great weekend!
