Hi OOM Readers! I don’t know about you but we still can’t get over how awesome New York Comic Con was—the biggest Comic Con to date! This past Sunday (October 12, 2014) Scholastic debuted its newest multi-platform adventure, Tombquest. With a special section in the Family Room at NYCC, readers, gamers, and their parents were able to grab advanced copies of TombQuest Book 1: Book of the Dead as well as play the beta version of the online game.
While kids were waiting in line to play the game, they were also using Egyptian script to personalize their headdresses. Not only did these headdresses look great on everyone, but they also included a code that TombQuest fans can use to unlock something special in the online game. Although the game won’t be available until December 15th, users can still go to the TombQuest website and create their own avatar as well as read a sneak peak of the book and watch the book trailer.
