New literacy and math education programs for the international market

Our International team has big news today! Scholastic announced two new education programs for the international market, Scholastic Literacy Pro and Scholastic PR1ME Mathematics.

Scholastic Literacy Pro is a digital reading comprehension assessment program for students from age 7 through 18 that combines Scholastic Reading Inventory™ (SRI)'s computer-adaptive assessment test with the Lexile®-based independent reading program, Scholastic Reading Counts!®, that tracks student success on the books they read in and out of school. The program provides personalized reading lists for students based on their Lexile level and interests, while teachers can monitor progress and target instruction to meet individual and group goals.

Scholastic PR1ME Mathematics is a mathematics proficiency program for grades 1 through 6. The program is a collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Singapore and incorporates the best practices of math instruction from Singapore, Republic of Korea, and Hong Kong. Using a pedagogical approach, Scholastic PR1ME Mathematics teaches through problem-solving, develops metacognition and mathematical thinking, and incorporates formative and summative assessment to help teachers guide individual students.
