Missed YALLWEST 2017? Here are some highlights

What happens when you mix 20,000 people and 100 authors (plus a few dozen palm trees) at Santa Monica, California? YALLWEST! The west-coast book festival kicked off on April 29th and our @IreadYA team was there to celebrate all-things-YA with our fellow book nerds!

Of course, we started the day off with some sweet donuts.

But even sweeter than the donuts? Our lovely authors! Sara B. Larson (Dark Breaks the Dawn), Wendy Spinale (Everland series) and Elizabeth Eulberg (Just Another Girl) joined us to pass out our signature “I read YA” tote bags and copies of their books.

Up next, we had...stickers that read “YOGURT IS ALIVE” and “EAT DIRT.” Yup, that’s not a typo. Goldy Moldavsky, New York Times bestselling author of Kill the Boy Band, is coming out with her next title No Good Deed and we celebrated with ARCs and exclusive stickers!

But the good times didn’t stop there…

And what better way to wrap up YALLWEST than with a special announcement? We caught up with author Daniel Jose Older who dropped the news about his 2nd Shadowshaper Cypher novella, Dead Light March - out June 6th!

We had a blast at La La Land, and can’t wait to see y’all at YALLFEST!
