Last calls are underway for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Teen artists and writers everywhere, start making final touches to your masterpieces! Whether a last grammar edit, brush stroke, ceramic glaze, video edit or anything you can think of, now is the time. Students in grades 7-12 can still submit their original works but the last call is underway with deadlines varying by region. Check out www.artandwriting.org for all of the details about how to submit.

Every year we stand in awe of the work you are able to dream and turn into reality. We can't wait to see what new and fascinating pieces will move us this year and to meet the incredible teens behind the work. Who knows, we may be about to meet the next Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Lena Dunham, Zac Posen or Robert Redford - just a few of the amazing alumni who won a Scholastic Award when they were in high school.

Don't forget, winning a national Scholastic Art & Writing Award opens doors to publication, exhibition and scholarship opportunities. Plus a national medal in poetry can place you in the pool of the next class of National Student Poets!
