Dutch author Anna Woltz visited New York City at the end of May to promote the US release of her latest novel, and first English-translated title, A Hundred Hours of Night (Ages 12 and up). The book is based on Anna’s real life experience living in New York City during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. During the blackout that followed the storm, Anna spent her days searching for warmth, food, and electrical outlets. When the lights came back on, she began writing A Hundred Hours of Night.
Anna’s May trip marked her first time in NYC since 2012. She wandered the streets of the city reliving her experiences and taking photos with the landmarks that appeared in her book. Take a tour of NYC and A Hundred Hours of Night by checking out the pictures in the slideshow below!
