Today on OOM we’re celebrating Will Eisner Week (March 1–7), an annual ode to graphic novels, literacy, free speech awareness, and the legacy of Will Eisner, considered the “father of the graphic novel.” The Eisner Award is named after the famed graphic novelist and is considered one of the comic industry’s most prestigious awards.
