Did you know that The Magic School Bus is 30 years old? The first book, The Magic School Bus at the Waterworks, was published in the summer of 1986. It introduced Ms. Frizzle, her magic bus, her class, and their wacky learning adventures to the world! 30 years later, the series has more than 90 million books in print, 4 seasons of TV episodes, multiple spin-off book series, and now a brand-new TV series set to launch on Netflix in September 2017.
To celebrate this big birthday, we’re going to take an in-depth, month-by-month look at each of the original books and the topics they cover, complete with episode recommendations, home and classroom science experiments, key scientists in the field, and more. We will also be revealing exciting news about the new series throughout the year, building to a huge countdown next summer.
