We are so excited to air an exclusive video with Taylor Swift at 1 o'clock ET this afternoon! In this 30 minute video, Taylor talks with kids (and students from two classrooms Skyping in!) about the books that inspire her most, how journaling has helped her with songwriting, and how she rose above the bullying and negativity she faced growing up. Plus, she'll share some exclusive video clips and audio files...you don't want to miss this.
Throughout the video, kids ask her a range of questions — what her songwriting process looks like, how she gets ideas for music videos, and how her experiences have informed her music. She starts the interview with this powerful quote about books: “I’m excited to talk to you about reading and writing because I wouldn’t be a songwriter if it wasn’t for books that I loved as a kid, and I think that when you can escape into a book, it trains your imagination to think big and to think that more can exist than what you see.”
We cannot wait for you to see the full video! Remember, if you're a classroom teacher tuning in with your students, you can find free classroom resources to accompany the video here. And be sure to send us a picture on social media of your students watching (use #sharepossible)!
