Senior Compensation Analyst

Under direction, the Senior Compensation Analyst will process standard compensation transactions, perform job analysis, assist with salary survey submissions, and study and analyze matters related to internal Compensation programs, and perform related duties as required. The person must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to use Microsoft Excel as an analytical tool

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • HR Transactions Processing – Monitor shared mailbox and approve standard transactions in HCM. Obtain information from field HR team regarding non-standard transactions and present to Corporate Compensation team.
  • Compensation Planning Technology – Update & maintain compensation planning tools. Assist in technology upgrades and migrations.
  • Job Evaluations- Perform job evaluations and provide analysis and information to Corporate Compensation team to maintain competitive market position within the Company guidelines.
  • Commissions – Generate semi-monthly commission statements using Iconixx. Generate payroll files for payroll team and provide reconciliation reports for Finance team. Basic maintenance of Iconixx system.

Senior Manager of Digital Marketing

The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing will lead digital and social strategy across the breadth of the Scholastic Trade list. This individual will work in conjunction with the social media manager and act as the team lead for amplifying Scholastic’s social media footprint for its book titles while growing our follower base.

In addition, this Senior Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of title and brand websites, ensuring that they align with the social strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, manage and optimize digital and social strategies for our teen community, graphic novel community, select brand pages and overarching social initiatives for the Trade group.
  • Oversee Social Media Manager.
  • Liaise with Corporate Communications team, specifically the social media managers, to ensure our titles are well-represented on all corporate channels.
  • Work with Social Media Manager to strategize a diverse content mix by channel to grow membership and engagement, including a robust influencer strategy.

Human Resources Generalist

The HR Generalist will guide and assist their client groups (Finance, Global Communications, Strategic National Partnerships, Legal, Media, the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers) in implementing effective human resource strategies to support overall business objectives. In addition to promoting positive employee relations through design, communications, and interpretation of human resources policies and programs, they must maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Trade Marketing Operations Assistant

The position will report directly to the Director of Marketing Operations in the Trade Marketing Department. The Trade Marketing Operations Assistant requires organization, initiative, efficiency, ability to manage multiple projects and attention to detail.

Marketing Manager

Scholastic Education is looking for a highly-collaborative and organized Marketing Manager to support its small-group curriculum products. They will be responsible for the creation and management of marketing materials and strategy related to the division's products focused on intervention and assessment. This includes sales support, creation of marketing collateral, integrated campaigns, competitive analysis, operations and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as an expert on product information including features/components, teaching and student materials, pricing, and competition.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the K-8 education market, with a focus on intervention and assessment products.
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns for products including, but not limited to, messaging, print and digital collateral, conference strategy, email marketing, sales presentations, advertising, content marketing, website management, and social media.
  • Work closely with the product development and editorial teams, representing the voice of the customer in the development process.

Senior Editor, Choices Magazine

Choices, an award-winning health, life skills, and social-emotional learning magazine for teens published by Scholastic, is searching for a highly creative Senior Editor with exceptional writing and editing abilities and digital know-how. This is your dream job if you care deeply about young people, empathize with all of the critical issues they face, and feel driven to put stories that matter into the world. The Senior Editor will be a vital part of the Choices magazine team, working with the Executive Editor and Associate Editor to conceive and execute the student magazine, digital edition, and teaching resources each month. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitching and developing smart, captivating stories that will make reluctant middle and high school students engage with their health and social-emotional well-being.
  • Reporting and writing at least two features per issue, as well as editing debates, backpages, and teachers’ guides as needed.
  • Collaborating with art and photo editors on all visual aspects of those stories, including design concepts, photo shoots, illustration selection, and more.
  • Assisting with all stages of production of magazine, including first-pass editing and final review of layouts as needed.
