Are you feeling like you could use a chuckle this week? That's probably because this Saturday, January 24th, is Global Belly Laugh Day! And what better way to celebrate than with a laugh-out-loud funny book?
Our recently released fifth edition of Kids & Family Reading Report found that 70% of kids ages 6-17 want books that make them laugh. Can you blame them?
Our Parents site compiled lists of great funny books for kids of all ages, including some of our favorites like The Adventures of Captain Underpants, Smile, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Hi! Fly Guy! They're guaranteed to give kids and parents alike a case of the giggles!
But just because you're an adult doesn't mean that you have to read serious books all the time! There are plenty of smart and hilarious adult writers out there too. If you're looking for a great read to pick up this weekend in celebration of Global Belly Laugh Day, I would suggest titles by comedic writers like David Sedaris, Amy Poehler, Dave Barry, John Cleese, or Tina Fey. Happy laughing!
