BEA 2015: Our team's final thoughts

BookExpo America proved to be full of amazing events, surprise author apperances and profound panels this year!

Check out some of our blogger's major takeaways on this event:

"This was my first time attending BEA so I was excited to see which publishers would be represented and what new titles they would be promoting. It was so fun to see Scholastic’s illuminated booth promoting Brian Selznick and Harry Potter. I was also able to hop onto a few autograph lines, and snagged a copy of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ new book." - Gina

"BEA was great! Having just returned from China for vacation, I thought that the China pavilion within the show was an interesting glimpse into international publishing. Notably, I had the opportunity to meet legendary chef Emeril Lagasse while he was signing copies of his new cook book. BAM! " - Brittany

"It was my first experience at BEA and the Javits Center so it was a lot to digest. [Our] corporate design team [...] designs the booths for other events, so my goal was to see what was working successfully and get ideas for future design projects." - Katelyn Wilson (from our Corporate Communications team)

"I'm sorry that I missed Elvis Costello singing 'I Write the Book.' But watching Gloria Steinem stride into the Javits Center on Friday afternoon was pretty great."  - Suzanne McCabe, Edu@Scholastic blog

As for me, I am always blown away by the size of the space. It's also amazing to see all of these people supporting the importance of reading - thousands upon thousands! It was also wonderful to see a sneak preview of the many upcoming titles debuting this year.
