Danielle Klimashousky here from Scholastic Media to chat about World Kindess Day!
November 13th is World Kindness Day, a holiday celebrated annually around the world to encourage people to be kind, caring, and accepting of others, regardless of their beliefs, appearance, or anything else.
Being kind is one of Clifford’s BIG Ideas! Clifford and his friends know it’s important to be nice, gentle, loving, and always willing to help out. Kindness is a wonderful gift to give others – and it’s free!
Clifford and his friends have to deal with the results of their own and each other’s actions every day, but they always love each other unconditionally – even when it seems impossible. A great example of kindness is when Emily Elizabeth takes Clifford home and loves him, even when he continues to grow, and grow, and grow! Acts of kindness and acceptance are precious gifts to give one another.
Today, find ways for you and your little ones to be kind and show others love. Compliment someone. Smile at a stranger. Let someone else have the last French fry. Call or text a friend to say hello. Open the door for a person behind you. How will you BE BIG?
If you have a little one who does a great job showing kindness today, present them with Clifford’s Kindness Award!
