Director, Digital Parent Channel
This position will provide leadership, ownership, and drive results in the following key areas:
- Parent/Consumer Digital Strategy; Engagement Model with Book Fairs Business; Build & Maintain Parent Digital Content; Drive Parent Channel Traffic and Revenue to the Scholastic Store Online (SSO); Build New Product(s) targeted at Parent audience; Drive Revenue
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in producing digital content, driving eCommerce, and launching new consumer products. Key requirements, include:
- Experience with digital content and commerce in a consumer driven business.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or engineering – advanced degree a plus. (a combination of technology and business degrees is ideal).
- A prior role that demonstrates the ability to use digital content, digital marketing, and social engagement to drive and grow commerce.
- Experience leading and managing small teams with big missions.
- High level influencer and partnering skills
- Track record of creating consumer digital experiences that drive commerce
- Current on leading edge technologies used in digital content development and eCommerce
- Experience in an agile product development model
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Change agent

Release Engineer
The Release Engineer will join Scholastic’s System Lifecycle Engineering team to create and maintain deployable systems artifacts across the various STS Programs. The engineer will build (or source), maintain, and integrate the underlying technology stacks that support software builds and/or application deployments. The candidate will also serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to development teams and will act as Level3 support for Production and Operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Architecting, maintaining, and streamlining our automated build and release pipeline from code compilation, automated testing, to deploying releases to multiple environments
- Defining best practices for source control management, creating and maintaining documentation of the build/release process
- Investigating tools and processes and integrating them so that they can improve the reliability, stability and efficiency with which we release our services
