Are you listening?

Grab your earphones, folks, and head over to SoundCloud, where Scholastic has a ton of great mini-podcasts!

With the rise of mobile and on-demand radio, podcasts have become an efficient way to stay up to speed with lots of facets of life...including reading. The experts at Scholastic Book Fairs have created brief (as in, 2-3 minutes!) podcasts that summarize and review the hottest new titles. Whether you need new ideas to help your children meet their Summer Reading Challenge #MondayMinutes goals or simply want to find your next great read, the Scholastic Book Fairs SoundCloud is a great resource, so take a listen!

We have some ideas for what you should listen to:

  • What to say if your child is complaining that Shark Week is over: “Have no fear, Nugget and Fang are still here.”
  • Who to call when your pre-teen thinks his or her “life is over:” Alex Sennefer.
  • What to say if your students don’t see eye to eye: “What are you two, sisters?”
  • How to lighten the mood when your child can’t decide which foreign language to study in middle school: “Why don’t you just speak dolphin?”
  • What to say if your child plays a prank on you: “Settle down, Jackson Greene.”

And finally, where to go when you’re wondering what all of these questions have in common: Here.
