The November issue of the magazine has this year's list of Scholastic Parent & Child Gold Star Toy Award winners -- 24 standout toys for baby to age 9 that were tested and approved by the magazine's readers and their kids. All of the winning toys are $100 or less, and they were chosen based on the following criteria: innovative and cool; magnetic and engaging for the child; mind-expanding or educational; and an excellent value to the consumer.
