...somewhere north of 300 million minutes. Impressive, right? And at 3pm ET today, we'll know what the NEW world record for summer reading is, but for now, we're celebrating the fact that kids just hit the 300 million minute mark in the Summer Reading Challenge. And with just 3 hours left to go nonetheless! A staggering finish to what has been an incredible summer for all those participating in the program.
REMINDER: If you're a teacher whose class has participated on behalf of your school or a parent with a child who has enrolled in the program, be sure to check the Summer Reading Challenge website at 3pm ET today! You'll find the NEW, final, 2014 world record for summer reading, the list of the top 100 schools that logged minutes in the program, and a special surprise!
We're so proud of all the kids, parents, and educators who've contributed to the success of the program this year.
