As you already know by now, July is Harry Potter Month! You probably also know that Harry Potter's birthday is July 31st, and what better way to celebrate the culmination of Harry Potter Month than by throwing a big readathon in his honor? That's right, kids ages 8-12 are invited to a live Harry Potter birthday readathon on Thursday, July 31st at 12pm EST.
The goal is to read for 4 straight hours, but we will take breaks to eat virtual cake and chat with other readers about our favorite Harry Potter moments. We will be asking some thought-provoking questions like: What is your all-time favorite scene from all the Harry Potter books? What would your patronus be and how would you use it in the Muggle world? If you could invent the perfect spell or potion, what would it do? And we will be continuing the discussion we started on the Ink Splot 26 blog: How has Harry Potter changed your life?
