Remember reading The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler and how desperately you wanted to live in a museum?
Well, kids in Washington, D.C. had a chance to sample this adventure with the Smithsonian Sleepovers at the National Museum of Natural History this past Saturday night.
Scholastic joined in on the fun by providing books, flashlights, activity sheets, reading certificates and more in support of the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge.
Our theme for this year’s Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge is “Reading Under the Stars.” This went perfectly with kids and their sleeping bags in the halls of the museum. Below are some photos from the event.
