Senior Designer, Klutz

Klutz creates activity books and other great stuff for kids ages 3 to 103. We began our corporate life in 1977 in a garage we shared with a Chevrolet Impala. For those of you who collect mission statements, here's ours: Create wonderful things. Be good. Have fun.

Klutz is a division of Scholastic, the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books.

As a designer, you’ll collaborate with the design team and the VP, Product Development to drive the creative vision at Klutz, creating packaging, covers, and interior layouts for our books and kits.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and design concepts for product development and presentation; include key components within the packaging.
  • Design alongside a team of graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, and packaging designers.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the team on the development of the project from concept to finish, managing the freelance designers, illustrators, and crafters.
  • Design packaging, book covers, and interiors for each product, ensuring the graphic treatment is aligned with the brand, appeals to the target audience and serves the content of the project.
  • Organize and manage multiple projects per season, delivering on time and within the established budget.

Senior Financial Analyst, Sales Finance

This new position was created to support the financial needs of the sales organization within Scholastic Education. Sales finance covers several sales channels within Scholastic Education: Field Finance, Strategic Sales, Services, and St. Charles (telemarketing). A key aspect of the Scholastic Education growth plan is to ensure the business yields an appropriate return on its investment in sales resources to drive profitable topline growth, as the business looks to grow into core education while maintaining its leadership in supplemental education.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales leaders, the division President and finance leadership to set overall annual sales goals which are used in the annual operating plan process. Separately, set specific sales goals by sales channel/region and by sales representative that are consistent with the collective sales goal.
  • Conduct periodic sales pipeline reviews with sales management to provide a reliable view of sales opportunities expected to close over a rolling three month period.
  • Provide quarterly updates of the annual sales goal which are used in Scholastic Education’s quarterly financial forecasts.

Vice President of Academic Planning and Solution Development

The Vice President of Academic Planning and Solution Development will be responsible for driving and supporting quarterly and annual Education revenue goals. The role is a key leader that will oversee a team of literacy specialists charged with supporting field sales in driving revenue through solution selling activities. This person must have extensive literacy content knowledge in order to support the team in positioning Scholastic’s comprehensive literacy solutions, as well as make priority recommendations to ensure self-sustaining literacy achievement within school districts, state partnership organizations, and communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee a team that supports the development of systemic comprehensive literacy plans and balanced literacy frameworks (e.g., content knowledge of balanced literacy, knowledge and use of literacy and implementation data, identifying key instructional best practices).
  • Collaborate with SVP, RVP, RDs and AEs on identified key strategic accounts to drive significant revenue.
  • Present solution specific and data leveraged presentations to key district leadership and stakeholders.
  • Create customized solutions to meet multi-tiered needs of district partners.
  • Share and further development of expert literacy content knowledge in developing key messaging that uncovers district and partner needs in order to drive revenue.

Senior Oracle Software Engineer

The Senior Oracle Software Engineer is accountable for proactively and holistically leading or supporting EA activities that create deliverables that guide the direction and drive targeted business outcomes. Oracle Senior Engineer role is focused on Architect, defining and implementing Oracle Cloud solutions addressing business requirements and priorities for the Oracle Domain & Fusion Cloud applications process area.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Enterprise Architect peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information and solutions architects) to analyze and derive the technology architecture future state.
  • Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.

Principal eCommerce Digital Architect

As a Principal Architect, you will translate business requirements into technical designs and unlock the business value of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). You will establish architecture standards, ensure code quality, and be accountable for the health of the overall solution. You will teach, mentor and share knowledge, improve processes and develop systematic solutions to problem patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect digital consumer experiences based on a foundation of SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  • Lead the implementation of Demandware/SFCC solutions from design through launch, as well as diagnose and solve technical problems related to commerce implementation.
  • Provide solution design for commerce features such as search, product details, personalization, and merchandizing features such as catalog, pricing and promotions.
  • Provide solutions around customer service, campaign management and data analytics.
