Here at Scholastic, we think math is pretty cool. (And it's not just because Project Runway's Tim Gunn told us so.) The folks in our Education Group have been working on some really neat projects, from a new Mathematics website to a web series all about "Math at Work" to the most awesome app ever. Here's a round up of resources that might make you want start crunching numbers.
- Our new Math Pinterest board aggregates all of our math-related content—from celebrity quotes about math to event information to video.
- A great one to share with kids: four-time NBA All-Star Rajon Rondo has great basketball skills and great math skills. (That would make him a Mathlete. Sorry, couldn't resist.)
- Practice, reinforce, and extend math fact fluency with our Sushi Monster app. Warning: it's highly addictive.
- Can mathematics be art? Check out this video featuring a new math-inspired exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art.
- Be sure to check out our new Mathematics website, which has classroom materials, assessment and intervention tools, and more for teachers and schools.
