Each day, we're tagged in photos and videos of families, teachers, and librarians all over the country (and the world!) sharing stories about their children discovering a passion for reading. As book lovers ourselves, nothing makes us happier than hearing those stories! It made us wonder.. what do kids have to say about their love for books and reading?
We asked parents to share photos of their child holding their favorite book, and include a direct quote as to what they love about that book, or reading in general. The responses made our hearts melt! Here are a few of the responses we received: Lia said “I like books because they give me a great feeling, like a rainbow explosion in my heart when I read. I love My Little Pony stories, I have a lot of them!”
Adalia said “I like this book because it’s about a school play and I like when Peppa says the wolf is not her Granny”
Isaiah said “This is my favorite book because daddy taught me all about the planets. We live on planet Earth which has land and water!”
