Executive Editor, Early Childhood Dual Language Learning and Biliteracy
Join our team and develop culturally and linguistically relevant learning opportunities for young children. The Executive Editor, Early Childhood Dual Language Learning and Biliteracy will assist in creating innovative, research-based, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. He or she will contribute to product planning and will manage a team of content developers to bring product plans to fruition with the highest commitment to quality and efficacy.
Responsibilities include:

Work with the Senior Director, contribute and adhere to product plans including instructional models and editorial guidelines, working within established development schedules and project budgets.

Work with program authors and consultants as needed, eliciting input, managing expectations, and building rapport and enthusiasm.

Manage 3 editors and external freelancers and vendors as needed.

Write, review, edit, and approve content as needed.

Director of Development
The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the national nonprofit organization that presents the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, is seeking a Director of Development to join their dynamic team. The Director of Development oversees all fundraising activities and initiatives for the Alliance—including corporate, foundation, institutional, and individual campaigns, annual fund campaigns, trusts management, endowment campaigns, in-kind donations, and special projects—in order to achieve annual budgeted fundraising goals and ensure that the Alliance’s relationships are nurtured to maximize philanthropic involvement. As a senior staff manager, the Director of Development works in close collaboration with the Executive Director (ED) and the Board of Director’s Executive Team.
Responsibilities include:
The Director of Development has responsibility for the following areas: Board of Directors & individual donors, foundation & institutional supporters, corporate sponsorship, special events, management & administration, communications, exhibitions.

In close collaboration with the ED, manage the Alliance’s relationships with its individual donors, including the Board of Directors.

Oversee grant process, including the oversight of an annual funding calendar and the timely preparation of grant applications and reports.

Supervise initiatives to maximize revenue from corporate relationships

Research, identify, and cultivate potential new corporate donors.

Manufacturing Planner I Content Management
The person in this position monitors ingestion of production files for Scholastic products that are provided to Scholastic’s Digital Asset Management system, and meets all schedule, quality and confidentiality requirements.
Responsibilities include:

Work directly with internal Scholastic Business Units and outside vendors to ensure that pre-production and post-production files are correctly provided to Scholastic’s Digital Asset Management system for archival ingestion, per Scholastic’s file requirements.

Identify and resolve files issues with Business Units and vendors on a daily basis.
-
Provide weekly status reports to Manager on key aspects of file ingestion.
-
Track and communicate DAM system issues as well as common Business Unit and vendor difficulties to share with Manager and eCMS Team.

Digital Product Owner, Content Management
This Product Owner is required to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skill with an understanding of how workflows and content drive business value. The person in this role will work closely with senior business stakeholders to drive planning and scoping of releases, overseeing business analysts to develop user stories and test scripts that drive development and test activities. In this capacity, the Product Owner will work with sponsors to identify roadmap alternatives, evaluate return on investment, and determine how required features best intersect with enterprise technologies. The Product Owner is hands-on in working with the team to drive releases, prepare the business for rollouts, and train and problem solve activities to ensure successful adoption.
Responsibilities include:

Be the lead product owner for the Enterprise Content Management domain supporting strategic initiatives within the Scholastic Technology Services Group. This role will be the primary interface with business stakeholders. In this capacity, the product owner will evaluate business needs, propose recommendations, offer alternatives, and help drive definition of the MVP along with backlog prioritization. This individual will be required to stay abreast of the latest enterprise technologies in the domain, understanding how features and functions intersect with business need.

Be the primary STS lead point of contact for the Trade business unit, engaging the business when needs arise and kick-starting planning on approved efforts. In this capacity, this role may field requests that relate to other technology domains across STS. The individual will work with the Portfolio Executive Director and Technology Leads to determine how to address in planning and roadmaps, if appropriate. Your responsibility will be to understand the needs and business content, while working within STS to determine appropriate next steps.
