The videos are short, fun, and feature easily-disestible wisdom from trusted educators. Laura Robb has over four deacades of teaching experience, and has practical and effective ways to increase access to books, which is so important to children's academic success.
Books for Babies: Creating a Culture of Community & Early Literacy by Cathy Whitehead
Cathy Whitehead is the 2016 Tennessee Teacher of the Year, and came up with the simplest, most ingenious project for her third grade class. Books for Babies allowed her class help their community by getting books into the hands of new parents to read with their babies, but also incorporated instructional components that she had been working on with her class! The project is so simple, but so smart--and can be adapted for any grade. No wonder Cathy is a state teacher of the year!
