- Meet the world’s first door-to-door poet, Rowan McCabe. He leads poetry workshops, performs, and even goes door to door in the UK writing verse for whoever answers the door. Pretty cool!
- In case you missed it, Marvel announced this week that a 15-year-old African American girl named Riri Williams will succeed Tony Stark as Iron Man in the comic book series.
- Does your town have a Little Free Library? Heidi Zweifel, a middle school librarian and blogger in Wisconsin, received a handmade Harry Potter Little Free Library as a gift from her mother! The tiny library features Cornish pixies, broomsticks, wizards, and even Dobby.
- Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, finally met Noma Dumezweni, who plays Hermione in the new play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child—two Hermiones! We loved this so much we posted photos on our Facebook page (which you can check out here).
- On Tuesday, NASA made history, announcing that the Juno spacecraft successfully entered Jupiter’s orbit. “Independence Day always is something to celebrate, but today we can add to America’s birthday another reason to cheer -- Juno is at Jupiter,” said NASA administrator Charlie Bolden.
- Lastly, Scholastic OOMer Gina Asprocolas traveled to London this week and stopped by Platform 9¾ for this incredible photo (see above)!
