#SummerReading: July's top parenting blogger picks

We may have reached the final stretch of summer, but the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge is still going strong! Kids have collectively read over 175 million minutes!

In support of the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge, well-known parenting bloggers* have signed up their kids to take the challenge. They have shared some brilliant ideas and tips the past few months to get kids reading all summer long.

This month, parents went on a mission to find unique, engaging ways to keep kids reading during the “dog days of summer.” We recruited a helpful “reading buddy” (the Energizer Bunny**) to keep summer reading dynamic and enjoyable – a key thing for kids to feel when reading for fun. From reading on-the-road to bedtime stories to reading outdoors, kids discovered numerous activities that can easily be paired with summer reading.

Here are a few highlights from July's parenting experts:

Happy #SummerReading, everyone!
