Director Financial Planning & Analysis, Scholastic Book Fairs
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is a key leadership role in Scholastic Book Fairs that supports the senior leadership team in translating strategic initiatives and tactical plans into quantifiable financial results. The position is responsible for leading the FP&A team in developing analytical frameworks to support management decision-making and leading all planning activities of the Book Fair division in Lake Mary, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts across the organization, supporting field and functional management in achieving the division’s financial goals.
- Communicate effectively the planning process to all management and end-user personnel leveraging Hyperion Planning where practical.
- Evolve the Hyperion Planning tool and modify the planning dimensions to enable the organization to efficiently manage the roll-up of plans, while capturing the key drivers underlying budgets and forecasts providing a basis of comparison for reporting performance measurement.
- Direct the process and the development of business cases for all capital projects and significant investments under evaluation by the division, including strategic ventures, acquisitions and reorganizations.
- Lead the implementation of Time-Driven Activity Based Costing methodology, evaluating near-term and long-term profitability of customer relationships and the alignment of functional resources with the revenue streams.
- Oversee and evolve the financial reporting and performance measurement environment, reflecting the key assumptions and drivers captured in the planning process. Rationalize the timing of management reporting, specific to the audience and the measures evaluated and determine the most effective platform for end-user delivery.

Sales Manager, Scholastic Book Fairs
Scholastic Book Fairs is seeking an inspiring, creative and customer-focused Inside Sales Manager to lead a high-performing, experienced sales team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, develop, motivate, and retain a commissioned, territory/account-based sales force to achieve goals set forth in all sales metric categories. Set clear performance goals (daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonally), coach, develop, and review performance to achieve regional goals.
- Evaluate ongoing market and sales information reports to determine trends and performance in the region. From this continued analysis, plan and organize the sales team's work to achieve business goals.
- Develop, communicate, and manage sales and service strategies by customer segment based on analysis of market penetration, sales fluctuations, budgets, and competition.
- Continually monitor customer program participation ensuring that all established goals are met, customer satisfaction remains high, and ensure communication adds value to customer base.
- Build a customer-focused team and create customer loyalty by understanding customer motivation, expectations, and needs. Deliver on customer commitments, help to remove barriers to customer service, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.

- The Inventory Supervisor is a key member of the team that is responsible for the inventory of Scholastic’s domestic operations.
- Prepare Inventory cash flow and Rolforward schedules
- Prepare and review cost of products margin analysis for various divisions

Manager State & Local Tax, Finance
Key Responsibilities:
- The Manager of State & Local Tax will lead the State & Local Tax function and be the primary interface with tax jurisdictions and their auditors.
- The individual will work with the VP of Tax and business leaders to help reduce the State and Local Tax effective tax rate and will work with accounting personnel to enhance and simplify State & Local Tax compliance.
- Research and consult on State & Local income tax matters.

Regional Business Development Manager, Scholastic National Partnerships
Key Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be directly responsible for developing a minimum of $2 million in new and expanded behavior change, cause marketing partnerships utilizing Scholastic full breadth of offerings including book clubs, book fairs, scholastic.com, premium books, supplemental educational programs, event and print marketing channels.
- Maintain strong client relationships for Scholastic within the DC territory.
