WAHOO! Announcing The Magic School Bus 360°, A New Netflix Original Series for Kids

Big news, Ms. Frizzle fans! As announced earlier this morning in The New York Times, Netflix and Scholastic Media are launching a new children's show based on the Emmy® Award–winning TV series The Magic School Bus.

The new show—The Magic School Bus 360°—will use computer-generated animation to reimagine the hit series that started in the 1990s. The 26 half-hour episodes are set to stream on Netflix in 2016.

The Magic School Bus revolutionized kids’ television through a unique and powerful blend of entertainment and science information," said Executive Producer Deborah Forte, President of Scholastic Media. "We’re proud that it’s become an evergreen show that children and parents continue to watch together." And now, thanks to Netflix, families around the world will be able to watch The Magic School Bus 360° anytime and anywhere they want.

Airing for 18 consecutive years and seen in more than 39 countries, The Magic School Bus is the longest-running kids’ science series in history. The Magic School Bus 360° will follow in its footsteps, helping kids around the world discover the magic and value of exploration and innovation. Aligned with the global emphasis on STEM education, the new series showcases all fields of science and embraces technology as a creative tool that supports learning and impacts daily life. It will feature the latest tech innovations, such as robotics, wearables and camera technology, to captivate children's imaginations and motivate their interest in the sciences.
