Scholastic takes home "Best Community Engagement" for social media efforts

We woke up to some great news this morning: Scholastic has won "Best Community Engagement" from Ragan's PR Daily!

The awards committee cited our social media efforts, from listening to use of hashtags to campaigns to giveaways, and our reach of 10 million+ employees as major aspects of our success.

From where I sit, Scholastic's social media efforts are a marvel. From Facebook pages like The Official Hunger Games and Scholastic Parents, from Twitter accounts like @ScholasticTeach and @PARENTandCHILD, from Tumblr accounts like This is Teen and Scholastic Reading Club, from G+ pages like Scholastic -- not to mention Pinterest Boards like Storia and Klutz and Instagram accounts like Art & Writing and Clifford the Big Red Dog -- Scholastic brands are all over the biggest social media platforms, reaching nearly 11 million fans and sharing 150 pieces of content daily. Thanks so much to them for recognizing our efforts, and huge thanks to all of you, our community of readers, for your support!
