Scholastic at the 2019 National Book Festival

Over Labor Day weekend, hordes of book lovers descended upon Washington, D.C. to attend the 2019 Library of Congress National Book Festival! The 19th annual event brought together authors, historians, poets, and children's writers around the theme “Explore America’s Changemakers.”

Scholastic’s lineup of authors included Jarrett J. Krosoczka (Hey, Kiddo!), Sharon Robinson (Child of a Dream), Ann M. Martin (The Baby-sitters Club series), Gale Galligan (The Baby-sitters Club graphic novels), Scott Westerfeld (Impostors #1), and Victoria Schwab (Tunnel of Bones). Plus, Raina Telgemier (Guts) and Henry Louis Gates Jr. (Dark Sky Rising) were featured speakers alongside the likes of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and chef José Andrés!
