In Our Feeds: BSC fashion, terrible writing advice, Tom Hanks's Twitter & endless Elena Ferrante speculation

Every Friday, we share a handful of links that we found funny, provocative or just plain cool. We call it In Our Feeds. Have a great weekend!

Mental note: one day we should do a roundup of all the weird and wonderful Harry Potter stuff that's happening out there on the internet and IRL. And when we do that, these Harry Potter cookies will be at the top of the list. (The Snape one makes me laugh.)

At first I was like, I don't even know what to do with this one. But I do! Here you go: Do you love The Baby-Sitters Club? Do you love OOTD blog posts? Do you like really high concept funny stuff? If you answered yes to all those questions, then babysittersfashionclub is for you. (From the "about" section: I have committed to use the members of the Babysitter’s Club as my main source of fashion inspiration. This is my journey…….Friends Forever.)

And continuing my fashion report, here are literary hairstyles (and yes, there's more than the Katniss braid!). Check out those Gone With the Wind victory rolls!

About this great "Terrible Writing Advice from Famous Authors" post, all I have to say is: #Teamsemicolon4lyfe. (Can we get that trending please?)

If the venn diagram of your interests intersects at data collection, reading habits and the publishing business, then this article, "Moneyball for Book Publishers: A Detailed Look at How We Read" is for you.

Add it to your queue: The New Yorker is launching a short story podcast next week. Fantastic!

Do you follow Tom Hanks on Twitter? This blog post claims that Tom Hanks's Twitter Is Basically a Lost & Found for Clothing. Alrighty then!

If you spend any time on the Internet, and if you have read the Neapolitan novels (READ THEM) by Elena Ferrante, you'll know that people are obsessed with finding out her true identity. Buzz on this comes and goes, but it's recently flared up again, and there are a whole host of perspectives out there. I first enjoyed this sort of crabby one from Book Riot, which reminded me of two other good ones I read recently: this one from Jezebel, and another from Flavorwire.

Finally, let's end the day with some inspiration. I am 100% into this video of high school girls who are in the field of robotics. Even better, they call themselves the Fe Maidens. GET IT?! Augh, dying. Love.
