In this interesting op-ed from the New York Times explores our perception of audiobooks. “We tend to regard reading with our eyes as more serious, more highbrow, than hearing a book read out loud,” but the author reminds us that much of great literature, like The Odyssey and The Iliad, were sung in verse.
