Our favorite books for sick days

Achoo!! You might be hearing a lot of sneezes and sniffles around your home or office these days -- flu season is back! In the event that you find yourself curled up under the blankets sipping lemon tea, we thought we'd compile a list of some of our favorite books to read when we're a bit under the weather!

When I was younger (and even now sometimes!), I would reach for familiar books that I loved to comfort me on a sick day. Two of my favorites were Searching for David's Heart by Cherie Bennett and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets .

Megan -- A Sick Day for Amos McGee is so adorable! Erin Stead’s illustrations are beautiful and soothing (good for anyone who’s feeling under the weather).

Brittany -- When I was little, I loved the Chicken Soup for the Soul books if I needed something comforting and uplifting.

Lia -- I don’t reach for one particular book, but I love me some light, easy-to-read novels (anything Jojo Moyes, Liane Moriarty, etc.).

Anne -- Chicken Soup with Rice by Maurice Sendak. When I was little it was always a quick and fun to make me smile. Plus, I was always eating a lot of chicken soup.
