Kid Reporter interviews Mo'ne Davis

By now, you may have heard of 13-year-old pitcher Mo'ne Davis, who became the first girl to pitch a shutout in the Little League World Series last year. Mo'ne has been featured in every major news outlet since her impressive performance, and she took some time to sit down with a Scholastic News Kid Reporter last month for a video interview.

Kid Reporter Joshua Yi, 12, questioned Mo'ne about topics like how she stays calm and confident during a big game, how she's dealing with her sudden fame, and how she feels about being a role model for young girls who want to pursue sports. Mo'ne even coached Joshua on how to pitch a curveball!

The video interview accompanies this month's cover story on Mo'ne in Action magazine (in classrooms now!). Read Joshua's story about Mo'ne and see the video here. For more Kid Reporter stories, visit www.scholastic.com/news.
