We've learned from teachers that they overwhelmingly chose their profession in order to make a difference in children's lives. Eighty-five percent say this according to our survey of more than 20,000 PreK-12 teachers, Primary Sources: America's Teachers on Teaching in an Era of Change. Two-thirds also agree they are teachers to be part of those "aha" moments when things just click for students. These sentiments make you feel great about who is leading our nation's classrooms.
