Senior Product Marketing Manager

The Digital Solutions Marketing team is seeking to hire a strategic, energetic and creative Senior Product Marketing Manager, who believes educational technology can have a positive impact on student’s academic trajectory. Will consider K-8 literacy teachers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain expert knowledge of the market for digital reading programs, including core, intervention, ELL, and Bilingual products in K – 8 schools
  • Lead competitive analysis efforts to inform positioning and new product development 
  • Support the sales and service organizations as they communicate with customers
  • Keep the sales force up to date on latest information about products, positioning for new market segments and competitive intelligence
  • Work with sales team to develop specific product presentation tools for the field to ensure deep selling expertise (sales presentations, brochures, email messages, etc.)

Senior Publicist

The Senior Publicist will work with both children’s and young adult book authors/illustrators with responsibility for implementing innovative publicity plans and campaigns for select titles and authors. 

Responsibilities include: 

The Senior Publicist will be expected to work with authors, create comprehensive tour schedules, schedule travel and events, arrange media interviews, write press materials and pitch letters, research media contacts, fulfill review copy requests. Must have experience pitching national and local broadcast, print, and online media.

Marketing Coordinator

The Coordinator position will provide an opportunity for an ambitious college graduate with strong project management skills to learn and be a key contributor in executing a robust multichannel marketing strategy in a dynamic work environment.  

Responsibilities include:

Coordinates the execution of all acquisition and renewal email campaigns including list selection request; customer and creative segmentation; creating text documents, omniture tracking documents and job tickets; delivers assets to deployment team; manages seed list; reviews each campaign on multiple devices and browsers, tests all links and confirms approval with business leads.

Salesforce Platform Engineer

Scholastic Technical Services is looking for a Salesforce Platform Engineer. Scholastic has recently gone live on the Salesforce.com platform and has started a platform group to manage integrations, release management and all other non-application specific functionality.  The Salesforce Platform Engineer will be the main developer for all Salesforce functionality within this group, but will also need to be an “all rounder” who can understand how the platform will interact with external systems. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Development of Salesforce standard and custom functionality, and any required development outside Salesforce, to support all platform needs
  • Work with Release Management to ensure best practices
  • Work with existing implementation to eliminate technical debt
  • Champion engineering best practices

Trade Planner

This role is a business liaison between our creative team and our manufacturing team. Key areas of interest are product development, costs analysis and budget tracking. We are looking for a team member who can help translate ideas and concepts into a physical item and then work with both teams to ensure the product is on budget and cost effective. An understanding of dimensions and physical attributes is critical to the role. 

Responsibilities include:

Meet with editorial and design teams to identify product specifications and communicate these details into internal systems to request costs from our manufacturing teams.

Evaluates costs from manufacture groups to ensure product specifications are meeting financial goals as well as the vision for each project and build excel file of data necessary to review these evaluations by senior management.

Able to communicate specifications changes to book product and impact to prior financial assumptions ultimately ensuring the finished goods meets production specifications
