This week, thousands of librarians and educators will descend upon Seattle for the 2019 ALA Midwinter Conference. If you're attending, here are some Scholastic highlights you won't want to miss!

This year at our booth (#901), we will be giving away advanced reading copies of Say Something, Cicada, The Moon Within, A Drop of Hope, The Music of What Happens, and Stepsister. We will also be giving out discussion guides, posters, bookmarks, and more!

USBBY Program with Aida Salazar


Location: Sheraton Seattle, Willow Room

Learn about the titles on USBBY’s Outstanding International Booklist and hear from #ownvoices debut author Aida Salazar about her upcoming middle grade title The Moon Within (Scholastic, 2019). An  Are You There God, It's Me Margaret? for the modern day, The Moon Within is about family, heritage, friendship, gender, and what it means to grow up. Scholastic's Best Books for Young Readers!

Location: Washington State Convention Center, Exhibit Floor - Book Buzz Theater 

Come listen to these great booktalks on titles coming soon for your young readers (for the youngest readers to teen and beyond!) with Scholastic. These titles are sure to fly off your shelves—from picture books to YA, nonfiction to fantasy/sci-fi, and tearjerkers to books that will tickle your funny bone, there’s something for everyone! And some lucky attendees will get FREE books and supporting materials to help with their own booktalks.
