Celebrating National Moon Day

Forty-five years ago on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to ever walk on the moon. What was once considered the biggest step towards the discovery of our solar system is now only the first step on a much larger journey. As Neil Armstrong stated after stepping on the moon for the first time, “[this is] one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” As we continue to leap and learn more about our earth and its surrounding planets, let’s continue to educate the younger generation with great books featuring fun facts about the moon, astronauts, and Apollo 11.

Check out these fun moon-themed titles that you and your future astronaut can enjoy!
