Senior Procurement Director

The Senior Director of Procurement will manage the procurement processes for all products and services that are sourced for Scholastic's products. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop & implement a sourcing strategy

  • Facilitate global outreach activities

  • Form, facilitate and lead procurement teams

  • Lead negotiations including but not limited to cost analysis, benefit validation and favorable business terms

  • Develop and execute Master Services Agreements and contracts for dozens of suppliers

Quality Engineering Lead (eCommerce)

The Quality Engineering Lead (QE Lead) will be responsible for the designing, creating and maintaining automated test scripts that will be used to validate the quality of software applications. With guidance from Quality leadership, the QE Lead will drive the test strategy for validating new applications, or changes to existing applications.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, business analysts and product owners and other team members to determine appropriate acceptance criteria for all changes (new features as well as updates)
  • Review unit test coverage implemented by engineers so as to inform QE test strategy
  • Design and implement automated tests based on the agreed-upon acceptance criteria. 
  • Set up the execution of automated tests as needed, via Continuous Integration (CI) tools
  • Review the results of automated tests and take appropriate action (e.g. file defects, update test code/data/configuration etc.)
